TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 05 December 2025 - A total of 44 Officers has successfully completed the Junior Officer Development Course (JODC 02/2025) at the Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) today. The course is attended by 24 officers from Royal Brunei Land Forces, 11 officers from Royal Brunei Navy and 9 officers from Royal Brunei Air Force. Present as the Guest of Honour was Lieutenant Colonel Amirul Adly bin Haji Ali, Acting Commandant of DA RBAF. Also present were Senior Officers of DA RBAF, Officers as well guest representative from Services Unit. The ceremony featured a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and verses 58 – 63 of Surah An-Nisa by Lieutenant Mohammad Noor Ridzwan bin Ahad, followed by remarks from the Guest of Honour highlighting that the course underscores the RBAF’s commitment to developing officers who are not only well-informed but also well- prepared to think critically, lead confidently, and operate effectively in an increasingly complex security enviroment. 
This serves as a crucial stepping stone in preparing junior officers for greater responsibilities ahead, strengthening foundational military knowledge and leadership competencies. The Guest of Honour presented the JODC participants with their certificates of course completion and excellence awards. Lieutenant (U) Nurul Farah binti Haji Suhaili received the Best Student Award, while Best Research Paper Award was
received by Lieutenant (U) Nur Hazirah bin Haji Mohd Aisa. The 6 weeks course is aimed to equip junior officers with the fundamental skills and understanding pertaining to leadership, military knowledge and current developments in the realms of international and regional affairs. The JODC course is designed to better prepare the junior officers for their future roles and responsibilities with a heightened sense of confidence and effectiveness.
