TANAH JAMBU, 04 October 2024 – 13 Senior Warrant Officers participated in the second session of the RBAF Senior Warrant Officers Workshop, which focused on security studies. The session aimed to enhance their intellectual capacity and understand the various contemporary security issues regionally and globally. The workshop covered key topics such as Brunei’s foreign policy, ASEAN’s regional role, contemporary security challenges, and RBAF policies and systems. These lessons were delivered by representatives from various departments within the Ministry of Defence, providing participants with valuable insights into regional and global security concerns.
During the workshop, the participants engaged in a group discussion on ASEAN’s challenges in the South China Sea disputes, discussing the organisation’s role in addressing the dispute. The session culminated in formative presentations on terrorism, cybersecurity, and climate change, reflecting the dynamic and evolving nature of modern security concerns.
Looking ahead, the next session, scheduled for the end of the year, will focus on RBAF military doctrines and operations, ensuring the participants continue to deepen their strategic and operational knowledge.
